Sofia Richie Meets River Island: Uncut

She’s the name to know, with the style to covet and an LA-attitude to match. An all-round fashion icon and rising style superstar, she's dominated the designer runways and secured her spot as an international cover-star. Now, she's coming to River Island.

Sofia Richie's exclusive edit just dropped, and our excitement levels are off the chart.

We caught up with Sofia on the set of her California campaign shoot, to get to know her a little better. From her style secrets to fashion faux-pas, read on to step inside Sofia Richie's world.

What is your favourite piece from the edit and why?

My two favourite pieces from the edit have to be the little black dresses. They're easy and effortless: take them anywhere, wear them anywhere, and you know you'll look incredible without even trying. I’ll be pairing mine with chunky flatform sandals to run errands around the city.

Which three words describe your personal style?

I always have to be comfortable – so number one would be cosy. Number two: balanced. Think long hemlines but slinky silhouettes, or oversized tailoring balanced out with a bralette for a hint of daring (like how I've styled the beige suit in my edit).

Finally: easy. If it doesn’t feel easy and natural to me: I can't wear it, it's just not me. Everything in my edit captures all three of those words!

What’s your go-to look for everyday?
I like to keep things classic, so I'll pair some kind of trousers – sometimes jeans, but maybe some wide leg palazzo trousers for a summer – with a trench coat. It’s a formular you can't beat.

Tell us about your worst fashion disaster.

A few years ago, I went to the Met Gala in New York, and my dress didn’t fit. So, I somehow decided it was a bright idea to put the dress on backwards and throw a leather jacket on top of it… It was a look I will never live that down!

Sweet or Savoury?

I would say I am a savoury girl. We served an incredible grazing platter with cheeses and charcuterie at our engagement party. Followed by Cacio e Pepe. The dream.

Sunset or Sunrise?

I love a sunset. The sunset's here in Joshua Tree (where we shot the campaign) are out of this world.

What’s one place we have to visit if we’re in LA?

Malibu. It’s just so beautiful. It's my favourite part of the city, and I don’t think any LA experience is complete unless you experience it. Go exploring during the day, but make sure you stay for the sunset (I told you I love a sunset!).

If you could tell anything to your younger self, what would it be?

I would absolutely tell my younger self to go easy on herself, and that everything is going to work out.
