Before You Wash: Quick Tips

Here are three quick tips to keep in mind before you start washing:

Rinse immediately:
After swimming, rinse your swimsuit in cool water to remove chlorine, salt, or sand.

Avoid hot water:
Hot water can break down the elastic fibres in your swimsuit.

Turn it inside out:

This helps protect the colours and prints.

Step-By-Step Guide to Washing Your Swimsuit

1. Hand wash with care

Yes, you read that right. We think one of the best ways to get your swimsuit clean is to hand wash it. Fill a basin with cool water, add a small amount of mild detergent designed for delicates and then gently wash your swimsuit in the water.

2. Rinse and dry thoroughly

After washing, make sure you rinse out all the soap and gently squeeze out any excess water. Avoid wringing out your swimsuit, you don’t want to stretch or damage the fabric. Lay it flat on a towel and roll it up to absorb any excess water. Then, lay it flat again and let it dry completely.

3. Storing your swimsuit

Proper storage is just as important as proper washing. Make sure your swimsuit is completely dry before you put it away (no one is a fan of damp-smelling clothes) and if possible, lay it flat in your drawer or shelf.
