THE RIVER ISLAND GLOW UP

2024 has been our year of the glow-up, and we don’t just mean a fresh coat of paint! This year we’ve given some of our stores a total makeover - from elevated new designs to self-checkouts and smart fitting rooms that’ll make you never want to shop another way.

We pulled out all the stops at our store glow-ups this year. From surprising lucky shoppers with the chance to win exclusive prizes, to hosting live brass bands and DJ’s that made shopping feel like a celebration! With so much happening, every reopening has become an event, and we’d like to invite you to experience it with us- because you won’t want to miss the next one!

We celebrated the grand reopening of our Cardiff St. David's store with a glow-up party. Shoppers enjoyed a live performance from The Sassy Brass Band, and some lucky customers even received a limited edition tote bag to take home the goods.

At our Dublin stores, we had exclusive prizes, pop-ups, and even cupcakes! We even hid some golden tickets in-store that gave customers the chance to win amazing prizes!

Our Leeds Trinity store reopened with a bang (and a ribbon cutting). We even had a DJ in store to keep the vibes going, and the chance to tear and win amazing prizes.

At Sheffield Meadowhall, customers had the chance to win discounts on our spinning wheel, and at Birmingham Bullring and Gateshead Metrocentre, shoppers were treated to festive cookies, an RI perfume and tote bag with their purchase, and the lucky early birds even received a festive bouquet!

Oh, and we also introduced interactive changing rooms and new interiors at each of these stores!
