River Island have worked with Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) Web Access Consultancy to ensure that our new website provides a high level of accessibility, making sure that as far as possible, it is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.
The website has been built embracing the latest web technologies and trends in web design to offer a dynamic and fresh user experience. Equivalent simpler features are also available, to provide the same content and functionality to people who use assistive technology or might otherwise find the standard website difficult to use.
River Island has followed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0. These guidelines are designed to increase the accessibility of web content and have been applied to the website to reach a high level of functional accessibility. This means that the majority of Priority 1 and 2 checkpoints, and some of the Priority 3 checkpoints are satisfied for most of the web site.
If you have any further questions about website accessibility and would like to speak with someone in person then please use the contact us page and our customer service staff will be very pleased to help.
